EPA's Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule:
Myths, Realities and Clarifications!

Ok, I know… you’ve heard all about the EPA’s Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule that went into effect on April 22nd of this year. You’ve probably even heard that the EPA has made numerous ‘tweaks’ in the roll-out of implement these new rules. But the REAL question is…

Do You Absolutely KNOW What You Need to Know Regarding This New Regulation and Just HOW It Will Affect Your Business?

The need to know this information has become all the more urgent in the wake of a $745,000 fine recently levied against a large Midwestern home improvement contractor that could not provide the necessary documentation proving that they had been giving its customers a copy of the EPA pamphlet... “Renovate Right: Important Lead Hazard Information for Families, Child Care Providers and Schools”. This requirement went into effect in December 2008 and remains in effect in today.

Current estimates indicate that only about 10% of the remodeling contractors are operating in compliance with the new regulations. Time is up for resisting, complaining about, and ignoring the new EPA Lead Paint rule

To prevent lead contamination, you must be not only be CERTIFIED, you must also follow specific work practices if you intend to do work on homes testing positive for lead paint.

In this special web-seminar, Patrick Connor and Jack Andersen from Connor Institute, will share their expertise as two of the foremost authorities on this topic in the country.

You'll discover what it takes to be fully Lead Paint Compliant including...

  • How to become an EPA-certified renovator
  • RETHINKING how you estimate jobs (costs will go up)
  • How a simple $ 0.50 investment could eliminate a $ 500,000.00 expense?
  • “Test or not to Test” – Is that the Question???
  • What significance these dates have… Oct Sept. 30th, Oct. 1st, Dec. 31st
  • How to roll out full “lead-safe work practices” such as posting warning signs, training your staff in dust containment and cleanup measures
  • You’ll learn how to follow correct protocol by verifying cleanliness and filing/keeping the appropriate records
  • And most importantly… a ton of Q & A!

Don’t miss this important educational event to help clear up some of the confusion regarding the new rule and avoid the possibility of EPA fines “up to $37,500 per violation, per day,” according to the agency’s Small Entity Compliance Guide.
